What We Believe
The Greensboro Road church of Christ is committed to following the pattern of the New Testament church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves as our only guide for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
We believe in one God, revealed as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1Corinthians 15:3-4).
We believe salvation is available to all through obedience to the gospel:
-
Hearing the Word (Romans 10:17)
-
Believing (Mark 16:16)
-
Repenting of sin (Acts 2:38)
-
Confessing faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10)
-
Being baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
The church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23), and we strive to worship, serve, and live according to the example and authority of Christ.
What to Expect
When you visit the Greensboro Road church of Christ, you will find a friendly congregation devoted to worshiping God in simplicity and truth. Our goal is to glorify Him according to the pattern found in the New Testament.
Our worship includes singing (a cappella), prayer, partaking of the Lord’s Supper each Sunday, giving, and preaching from God’s Word (Acts 2:42; Ephesians 5:19).
Visitors are never singled out or pressured. We invite everyone to join us in worship, to listen, study, and participate as they feel comfortable.
